Privacy Policy

MockRoom is a set of study tools for cloud certification exams, published at mockroom.dev and its per-exam subdomains such as aif-c01.mockroom.dev. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use them.
The short version. There are no accounts and no sign-in. Your study progress is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us. We do not sell, share, or profile your data, and there is no advertising or third-party tracking on the site today.
1. Who we are
MockRoom is operated by Studio Tansy. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@mockroom.dev.
2. What we do not collect
We want to be specific, because "we value your privacy" means very little on its own. MockRoom does not:
- ask you to create an account, or collect your name, email address, or password;
- upload your answers, scores, confidence ratings, or review history to any server;
- use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or cross-site identifiers;
- sell or share personal information with data brokers or advertisers;
- load third-party scripts into the study application.
3. Study data stored in your browser
Everything the study application remembers is kept in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. It stays on that device, is readable only by the site that wrote it, and is never transmitted to us. The application stores or reads:

Because this data is local, a few consequences follow. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching device or browser will lose your progress. Anyone with access to your device and browser profile can see it. We cannot recover it for you, because we never have a copy.
The application provides an export function that writes this data to a backup file you control, and an import function to restore it elsewhere. That file is produced and read entirely in your browser.
4. Study content
When you open a study room, your browser downloads the question catalogue and reference material as static files. These are ordinary web requests for public content. They tell us nothing about your answers or your progress.
5. Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, which may include your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string. This processing happens as part of hosting and security, not as analytics we have configured, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

6. Links to other sites
The study material links to official AWS certification and documentation pages so you can verify claims against the authoritative source. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one does not apply to them.
7. Cookies
MockRoom sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set cookies strictly necessary for security and performance as part of hosting.
8. Children
MockRoom is intended for adults preparing for professional certification exams. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to its processing. Because MockRoom holds no account and no server-side copy of your study data, most of these rights you can exercise directly: your data is in your browser, you can export it, and you can delete it by clearing site data for the relevant MockRoom domain in your browser settings.
If you believe we hold personal information about you and want to exercise a right over it, contact privacy@mockroom.dev. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Features that are not active yet
We would rather describe planned features honestly than quietly add them later. The following are not active today, and this policy will be updated before any of them is switched on:
- Optional sign-in and progress sync. A future optional account would let you back up and sync progress across devices. It would remain optional, studying would continue to work without it, and local storage would stay authoritative.
- Advertising. If advertising is introduced, we will name the provider here, describe the consent mechanism, and state what is shared. Your answers, scores, confidence ratings, error labels, and review history will not be shared with an advertising provider.
- Usage analytics. If we add analytics, we will use a privacy-preserving, non-tracking option and disclose it here.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how your data is handled, describe it on this page. Continuing to use MockRoom after a change means you accept the updated policy.
